MGM looks to be upa nd runnig atleast some of it anyway..
MGM Resort “services, dining, entertainment, pools, and spas are operating normally,” according to a post on its X account (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday evening.
“Our gaming floors, including slots, table games, and poker rooms are open. Visitors to our properties may use Slot Dollars and FREEPLAY, and our slots are recording gaming spend. Our slot ticket-in/ticket-out systems are up and running, and our amazing employees are available to help guests with any intermittent issues. We thank you for your patience and look forward to welcoming you soon,” the company stated in its post online.
MGM, which has properties around the world, including more than a dozen on the Las Vegas Strip, told the Associated Press it suspended online operations in efforts to protect its proprietary information. Slot machines, digital room keys, electronic payment systems, the company’s website and ATMs were all affected by the system outage. MGM Properties were nearly reduced to pen and paper at one point. MGM Resorts also noted that its guests at Excalibur “may continue to ask casino cashiers and slot guest representatives for assistance” as it works to “normalize operations.”
For those wondering how much longer will MGM Properties will continue to be affected is anyone’s guess. Experts say that MGM decides to pay the ransom, the networks could be back up rather quickly. If not, the reconstitution of MGM’s networks could take day if not weeks.
MGM Resorts International is the largest casino operator on the Las Vegas Strip.
